Full food disclosure! Blue Oak is my favorite BBQ joint. In 2016, when this spot opened, I immediately made my round there. The owners are locals who went to school together. They make some mean smoked meat together. Nowadays, with Corona, outside seating is so essential for businesses. Blue Oak has great seating options inside and out. I am a fan of outdoor seating and enjoyed eating their delicious spread. Something about the aroma of barbecue..it get’s me going! It reminds me of hot summer days hanging in the yard with my family. Eating delicious potato salad, beans, barbecue chicken and anything else on the grill. Blue Oak has something special. From the energy of the employees to the taste of the food, they will be around for many, many years.

I really enjoyed interviewing Ronnie and Phil. They have great synergy and understand the importance of building relationships with the community. I had fun in my Blue Oak swag.. Yes, they have merch for sale. Make sure you check their website.

Some of my favorite menu items are smoked and jerk chicken, mac & cheese, baked beans, slaw and brussels. The sauce options are AMAZING!! I always try a different sauce on every visit. They are best known for pulled pork, ribs, brisket, spicy sausage and of course that MAC-A-LICOUS Spicy Chicken sandwich. I had the pleasure of winning a fried chicken sandwich. It is simply the BEST. Tuesday is Spicy Chicken sandwich day. Head that way Tuesday and say hello from Lynn in the kitchen…
