Stephen (aka @thenola15) is a California native who has lived all over, loves to travel, and always has to try new food.
I met Stephen at a foodie event and we started following each other. Oh wait!! I think I was already following him but finally met him. It’s always so funny to attend an event where you have watched a person and you feel like you know them. I miss those pre- COVID days!! Hoping for a speedy recovery, so we can enjoy events again. I just enjoy watching his vivid photos and stories about food.
When he moved to New Orleans, he realized his personal Instagram was becoming a food page, and so @thenola15 was born. While the purpose of his page remains the same - share delicious local eats with all of his followers - he has also recently used his platform to promote BIPOC businesses and bloggers, raise awareness of social and racial justice issues, and publish a list of New Orleans Asian-owned restaurants.
Stephen works professionally in higher education and also is a cycling instructor at CycleBar NOLA. His all-time favorite restaurant in New Orleans is Compere Lapin.
